Calbarrie Compliance Services Ltd is seeking to appoint a professional Business Development Executive at our offices in Cheltenham.  The successful candidate will be Gloucestershire-based and an experienced internal sales person who can demonstrate a minimum of two years of sales generation, new business and account management experience. The role is office-based and involves cold-calling businesses within a defined region.

Job Summary

Calbarrie provides Electrical Safety Testing across the UK with a full range of electrical compliance services and has an impressive list of clients. Your role as BDE will be to aid us in our next phase of growth.  You should be open-minded, willing to learn, entrepreneurial and ambitious. You should possess excellent closing and communication skills and the ability to handle objections and rejections constructively. A high level of energy and drive to over-achieve sales targets and a hunger to succeed is crucial. We also expect our BDEs to lead by example and demonstrate a “can do” attitude.  The main objectives of the role are:

  • To contact all types of businesses on a daily basis
  • To promote all Calbarrie services
  • To achieve/exceed individual revenue targets as agreed by the manager
  • To provide effective day-to-day support to existing clients
  • To manage workload; ensuring work is prioritised appropriately
  • Seek to continually over-achieve sales revenue targets
  • Carry out any ‘ad hoc’ duties as and when required
  • To comply with company policy and legislation

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you should have a minimum of two years of sales generation, new business and account management experience. In addition you should possess:

  • Excellent communications skills; verbal and written
  • B2B sales experience advantageous
  • Drive and self-motivation
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Although not essential, experience in a similar industry is desirable
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Strong team-player
  • Computer literate
